Indoor Air Quality

In Florida, humidity is the comfort problem

Temperature is easy. Moisture is what makes a house feel sticky, smell musty, and grow things nobody wants in the return.

Solutions

What we install, and when it's worth it

Whole-home dehumidification

The direct fix when the system holds temperature but not humidity. Targets 45–50% RH independent of the thermostat.

Media filtration

A 4-inch cabinet filter captures far more than a 1-inch panel without strangling airflow — as long as the return is sized for it.

Duct sealing

Attic duct leakage pulls hot, humid air into the system. Sealing usually improves both comfort and runtime.

Fresh-air ventilation

Tight newer homes need controlled outside air, dehumidified on the way in, not a cracked window.

UV coil treatment

Keeps the evaporator coil clean in a climate that grows biofilm fast. A coil measure, not a whole-house purifier.

Thermostat strategy

Dehumidify-on-demand settings and longer, slower cycles beat colder, shorter blasts every time.
